As a trusted service provider, NETLOCK is committed to providing outstanding service to its customers.
On May 30, 2025, Google Chrome announced changes to the Chrome Root Store Program, which will have a significant impact on NETLOCK SSL/TLS website authentication certificates. According to the announcement, Chrome was forced to review its cooperation with NETLOCK, which the Service Provider acknowledges, but is working to regain trust in accordance with the guidelines set out in the Chrome Root Store Program in the interests of its customers.
SSL/TLS website authentication certificates issued before July 31, 2025 will continue to be valid, so no disruption in their use is expected.
What types of certificates are affected?
Only SSL/TLS website authentication certificates.
What does this mean for you?
If you purchase an SSL/TLS website authentication certificate from NETLOCK before July 31, 2025, the above information does not affect you, and browsers will continue to allow full hierarchy checking.
What will happen after July 31, 2025?
You will still be able to request SSL/TLS website authentication certificates as usual, but your certificate will be provided by NETLOCK’s partners, which means that new types of certificates will also become available in our systems, such as code signing products.
What pricing will apply?
NETLOCK’s current price list will contain the prices of the available SSL/TLS website authentication certificates.
What should you do after July 31, 2025 if you want to request SSL/TLS website authentication certificates?
