In order to comply with the standard change, effective September 15, 2023, new SSL certificates will be issued to replace existing certificates. These new certificates will no longer include the UserNotice field and will be issued according to a predetermined schedule.
It is imperative that the new certificates are promptly replaced within the Trust Service Provider’s (TSP) systems to mitigate potential disruptions and interferences.
The revocation date for current certificates with an incorrect UserNotice field is set for 04.09.2024 at 09:59 a.m. (UTC), except for instances where customers have sought and received prior written approval from NETLOCK to modify this date.
The validity period of the new certificate commences on the day following its issuance, aligning with the time (hours/minutes) of the original certificate’s issuance. The expiration date of the new certificate coincides with that of the original certificate.
To facilitate the replacement process, detailed technical instructions for certificate renewal can be accessed through the server descriptions provided by NETLOCK via the following link: https://netlock.hu/termektamogatas/. Users are directed to scroll down to the “Device and server settings” section for guidance.
Following the issuance of the new certificate, the original certificate must be withdrawn no later than 04.09.2024 at 09:59 (UTC). It is noted that separate notifications for this withdrawal will not be issued.
Please ensure strict adherence to these procedures to facilitate a seamless transition to the new SSL certificates while remaining compliant with the stipulated standard change requirements.
